We are PetPeople. Are you?
When our founders Dr Ian Stroud and Dr Francesca Verney launched PetPeople, they set up shop in Ian’s kitchen.
They were great days. Just two passionate PetPeople, doing their best to keep pets healthy and clients happy.
And that's still who we are today. Ian and Francesca still look after patients and work alongside the wonderful team members who have joined us in the years since, and our ethos remains the same.
We’re committed to providing an independent, local veterinary service from our branches in Richmond and East Sheen, where we know our clients and patients as individuals.
We have some amazing talent in our team, and we give them the best facilities and pioneering technology to ensure no stone is left unturned if your pet is unwell.
But each and every one of us are PetPeople too. We love pets and we do what we do because we live for those moments when we can give a cuddle to a patient we’ve helped to be well.
Our Family Health Plan is the best example of this in action.
With unlimited consults as standard, we get more opportunity to provide members with the best care while ensuring we’re here for you if you’re concerned about your pet, without the added worry of a consult fee.
We want to see our patients as often as possible because we believe we’re more than just a vet practice: we’re a community of PetPeople, working together to give our pets the best lives possible.
Our ethos: What it means to be PetPeople
We understand the importance of pets and the incredible effect they have on our lives.
That’s why we’re here to help all the pets and people in our local community thrive together through our PetPeople ethos:
Proactive
We use proactive care to maintain wellness, rather than just react to illness. We also take great care of ourselves and colleagues because happy people make happy pets.
Innovative
We combine pioneering technology with our years of expertise (and lots of cuddles of course) to deliver first-class care, maximise health, minimise pain and reduce stress.
Personal
Every pet is unique, so we treat them that way. Our personal approach means we really get to know you and your pet, so we can identify risks and introduce preventative care as early as possible.
Local
We’re proud to be part of the community and work closely with groomers, behaviourists, physiotherapists and 24h referral practices to improve the wellbeing of all local pets and wildlife.

The PetPeople non-negotiables:
Our promise to you
When we decided to open our independent practice, we brainstormed a few non-negotiables that we believed our clients needed and deserved.
Easy Access
Great parking and easy access, with seven day availability to fit into busy, modern lifestyles.
Continuous Growth
To value development and learning, driving forward all the time to do even better, meaning we save more pets than we would have done before because we remain hungry for skills and improvement.
Advanced Facilities
Beautiful, big, exceptionally equipped practices, allowing our talented vet and nurse teams to keep cases they care about in the clinic and fix them, often without the need for referral.
Hands-On Leadership
Founders who retain a presence in our branches, caring for patients and clients and even taking their turn on the weekend rota, to set the example for our team every day for what it means to be PetPeople.
Strong Culture
Careful recruitment, prioritising team culture, so our employees don’t dread Monday mornings and hands fly up when we need people to stay late for life-saving operations.
Transparency
To remain transparent, with our pricing models and openness to feedback, inspiring trust in our team and supporting clients to have faith in our recommendations.
As we grow, these are the non-negotiables that we will stick to. Pinky promise.
