Dr Francesca Verney
Founder and veterinary surgeon
Francesca has worked solely in small animal practice since graduating in 2012, working in a range of clinics including hospital and emergency work, before becoming lead clinical director at Village Vet and discovering her passion for leading and growing teams. She is smitten with pets and people, and it has always been her dream to start an independent practice – making PetPeople a real passion project!
She has a basset hound called Wilma, although Wilma has recently retired to live with a basset hound friend in North London. Francesca is a committed but self-confessedly slow athlete, competing in triathlons and ultra-marathons. She likes to spend as much time as possible travelling with her family – including two kids known as the “tentlings” – in Georgina the campervan.
Her dream meal would be spent outside the van, steadily munching on anything and everything that can be found in a French supermarket, with ice cold beer and cheese courses that go on for hours.
