Dr Annabelle Acres

Lead veterinary surgeon

Annabelle graduated from Cambridge in 2022 and came straight to PetPeople, where she has had what she describes as an amazing platform to start her veterinary career. She completed a diagnostic imaging certificate in 2025, so if you can't find her on the clinic floor, she's probably tucked away in a darkened room scanning. She also has a great love of surgery and enjoys learning keyhole techniques. 

Annabelle grew up on the south coast with spaniels, and while London flat life doesn't lend itself to a dog of her own, she compensates with plenty of cat-sitting and short-term fostering of strays. Back home, the family dog Nemo, a gorgeous, loyal springer keeps everyone on their toes.

She is an avid runner and has fully embraced the joy of Richmond Park and the river routes since joining PetPeople. She loves long weekend runs with her boyfriend Olly, and her big goal is to run the Boston marathon one day. Her dream meal starts with Billingsgate prawns, followed by steak cooked on an open fire with charred sweetcorn, and ends with toasted marshmallows – simple, outdoorsy and absolutely perfect.
