Fergus joined PetPeople in November 2024 and was already well acquainted with the practice before he started, his dog having been a patient here since 2022. He had no previous professional experience with animals, but has always loved cats and dogs and found working with them a real privilege.

The aforementioned dog is Alfie, a cockapoo who loves chasing tennis balls and swimming in muddy puddles. These days he's a little calmer than he once was, but still, according to Fergus, the most wonderful and loving dog.

Fergus has several hobbies, all of which he describes as quite nerdy, but his favourite is Dungeons and Dragons, for which he runs a weekly game for his friends. He also loves writing, painting and music – none of which he claims to be good at. On the food front, he would start with sautéed scallops in butter, move on to slow-roasted shoulder of lamb with flatbreads, hummus and roasted vegetables, and finish with a chocolate brownie or pecan pie with vanilla ice cream.
