Dr Harriet Collins

Veterinary surgeon

Harriet's path to veterinary medicine was a little unconventional. She first graduated from the University of Warwick in 2015 with a degree in French and history, and spent several years working in project management before making the somewhat left-field decision to retrain. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2024 and has been part of the PetPeople team ever since. Clinically, she enjoys the wide variety of cases the practice brings, and developing her surgical skills. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with pets and their families, and providing care that is both compassionate and practical.

To fill the current pet-shaped hole in her life, Harriet regularly borrows her in-laws' black labrador Polka for long walks around Richmond Park.

Outside work, she loves staying active and spending time outdoors. Horse riding, long walks with friends in search of good coffee, and the gym all feature regularly. She is also a keen cook who enjoys trying new recipes and hosting. Her dream meal is a curry and beers with good company.

“Would highly recommend bringing your pets here. Nice to see an independent practice! Highly trust Dr Stroud's judgement and gold standard care of my pets.”
