Student veterinary nurse

Lola's journey into veterinary nursing began before she ever set foot in a practice – volunteering and completing work experience while studying gave her a taste of what this career could be. She joined the team at PetPeople East Sheen in 2023 as an animal nursing assistant and is now a student veterinary nurse, working towards her RVN qualification through the apprenticeship route. She expects to qualify in early 2027, and already has her sights set on exotics nursing as a potential next step.

At home, her pug Frankie keeps her company and keeps her on her toes – particularly if there's food involved. He's a big fan of sofa evenings and has a special soft spot for Leanne's pug, Munchkin. The feeling appears to be mutual.

Outside of work, Lola can often be found taking Frankie on long evening walks through Primrose Hill, and occasionally heading out for a horse ride. She loves to travel and is happiest somewhere sunny, surrounded by family and friends with a strawberry daiquiri in hand.

When it comes to food, Lola's ideal meal depends entirely on the vibe. It's either a Spanish-style spread with seafood or a Chinese takeaway on the sofa. Either way, Creme Eggs are non-negotiable for pudding.
